Their mission will be a complete success when they hand off their security responsibilities to
the Iraqi Army and Police forces and the American Soldier can return home safely and with their heads held high.

It has come to my attention that Delta company has lost one of our fellow soldiers in Iraq. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts.
Sgt. 1st Class Gregory B. Hicks
Jan. 8:
Army Sgt. 1st Class Gregory B. Hicks, 35, of Duff, Tenn.
Killed when the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter he was flying in crashed near Fallujah, Iraq. Assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, based in Fort Hood, Texas.
